anyone wanting a new way of looking at fiction A really impressive, richly written novel that blends together a travel narrative with formal complexity and lots of fascinating meditations on history, myth, selfhood, etc. Oddly, I think I'm only going to read 200 pages of it, but I still liked it a lot--it's just there's not a lot of narrative or character progression here and after... no one I know
